Hi everyone,
Thank you for your attention.
I have a study permit application is in progress at the moment. Now I want to do the medical exam, eventhough I am not yet requested to do so. Is this possible?

Would suggest to wait for MR. Some applicants posted in the forum they suffered delays after doing "upfront medical" after applying but before MR. They receive medical request weeks after doing the "upfront". The best time to do upfront medical is before submitting application.
Note that these delays were annecdotal and could be attributed to something else.

Hard to say, since I’m not from IRCC. My tracker still says “not started” when I already got my PR. Personally, I would go for whatever my gckey tells me. Just my opinion, though.

When did you apply? I applied on August 9. Eligibility not started but background is in progress. No update on the tracker so far. You think all is well?
Have been waiting for an update on my application.
Applied on 19 September
Medical and biometric updated on 29 September and eligibility and background check has started on the same day for canada student visa.
Don't know how long it will take
Did upfront medical test.
