Does working in a daycare count?

I'm a qualified childcare practitioner, I'm struggling to find nanny jobs that fit the requirements.. eg 40 hours per week, permanent position for longer than a few weeks..

There are so many options for daycares.. Does working in a daycare setting count toward to caregiver pathway, or should I try to find a more permanent nanny job?
