Does work experience on study permit count?

I graduated college in August 2015 and also, started working full time in August 2015. I applied for work permit in the same month and I received open work permit on Dec 31 2015. In my express entry profile, should I add August 2015 as job start date or December 2015?

More details: My job offer says August 4th as start date. If I add August 2015 as start date then I get 3 years of work experience points or else, I will need wait for November to be eligible.

Your valid work experience starts from the date that you applied for your PGWP.
