My job has very variable hours. During the summer especially I work fulltime around 30-40 hours a week, however in the winter days I usually work less than 30 with occasionally working 30 or more over christmas.
The rules state I need fulltime 30 hours a week for a year, OR equivalent in part time work. MY contract says I'm a fulltime employee but my job is busy during only certain parts of the year therefore I do not sometimes work over 30 hours a week. Can I qualify even though my job is not part time?

yes, the part time hours do count...

you need to have your employer explain the hours nicely on the letter, creating no confusions for CIC
Yes, the hours count, but you have to do a little more work than others, by documenting your weekly hours. After nearly 2 years, you surely have enough hours, but it will still benefit you if you can demonstrate how many weeks you worked more than 30 hours per week (i.e., number of full-time weeks) as well as add up your part time hours.
