I'm sponsoring my spouse inland and she's currently pregnant and prefers to defer the CXR in IME until after giving birth. I know in this case the IME will be put on hold (and so will the PR application) but I hope we can at least receive the AIP so that she can get OHIP.
By definition, AIR means the eligibility requirements are met, and the PA still has to pass the medical, security and background checks.
But I'd like to hear if anyone went through a similar case, or if they got their AIP before IME was submitted.
1) Do you know if the "on hold IME" will impact receiving the AIP on time or not?
2) Is it possible to receive AIP before the IME is requested or submitted?
Below is some context about our application.

In my opinion there isn't going to be a definitive answer to this question. AIP seems all over the place these days. Some are getting it earlier. Some are getting it super late and just before PR is approved. And some aren't getting it at all and just moving straight to final approval / COPR.

It used to be quite consistent. But over the last couple of years that stopped for some reason and it's been all over the place. Maybe it's become more consistent very recently. That would be good news.
