Does the appear thing normally comes by mail or email

Does normally the appear for citizenship test arrives by mail or it shows on ecas ? Do we get it by email

Your ECAS will update saying you have been sent a test invite, they will send it via snail mail which will have details for when to appear for the test and place address.

sometimes e-cas does not update and sometimes mails can be lost on the way too as its a regular canada post mail and there is no way to track it.

I have seen people in this forum getting test letters but e-cas did not update.

Best way is to keep an eye on e-cas and mailbox too. Also follow up with call centre too for any updates.
