Hi. Myself Amit. I am from India.
Actually I have a doubt-my consultant told me that if I study for one year in provinces (except Ontario and British Columbia) I will get 3 years work permit. He says if I study in Ontario or British Columbia then I have to choose a program of 2 years for 3 years work permit. I just want to know this true. I have applied for PGD in PM from University Of Winnipeg. I hope some one

There is no such rule... if you have been enrolled in the eligible program and that too in a designated learning Institute.. then only you r eligible to apply for post study work permit.. and the duration of the visa would depend upon the length of program... for eg.. for 1 yr program, students get one year work visa.. if there is 2 yrs program then you may get 3 yrs but again it depends upon the officer.. otherwise they could issue you 2 yr work visa as well for 2 yrs program...
Check on this govt. Website.. www.cic.gc.ca
Everything is mentioned on this website
