Does industrial post-doc need LMIA?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently finishing up my PhD and have accepted a postdoc position with a startup company in Ontario starting next Feb. (It's a 2-year contract.)
I'm qualified for FSW EE application and I'm wondering:
1. Whether an industrial postdoc will get me 50 CRS points?
2. Does my employer need to apply for LMIA? (For PR purpose not for work permit)
3. For the EE profile questions, I assume I can say YES that I have a valid job offer?

I've searched through the forum, unfortunately, there's not much information about industrial postdoc... Thanks in advance!

I will be holding PGWP so there's no need for the company to apply dual-intent LMIA. That's my understanding.

Thank you so much. So I can only get 50 points once my future employer applies and gets approved LMIA.
