CIC St.Claire office is central processing center. Where I believe all processing is done and then files are sent to the respective CIC offices.
Readers on forum says its final verification & in 3 - 4 weeks it moves to next step either to call for test. If test is done, it will be the oath.

Thanks a lot. I thought that is the place for more 'grilling'.

They are 'grillin' me for 8 months after the test without RQ or FP. So I think it depends on the case

Hi
I have a feeling that there is a high chance that Canada post have lost a letter from CIC addressed to you.
Or you file still wait to be assigned to a new processing officer since the office have been changed.

I am saying this based on my observations that usually if the file have been transferred to St.Clair that is based on some additional request of information which is usually send to the applicant.
Like the case of FP of the OP or something else.
Don't you think that it's a little suspicious that they are still holding your file without any activity on it?

Well, I'm not saying that you are wrong, just adding my two cents to the conversation. From my experience it seems like St. Clair office is stuck with my case, waiting for some additional info from CBSA. If they wanted to get some docs from me, they would probably have asked for that already.
It is indeed suspicious, but what can I do ?

How about withdrawing and re-applying?
You are already almost 16months in the process and most probably you can fulfill the new requirements already.
You know that they don't have any mandatory deadlines to follow so your file might stay just like that for one-two-tree... years without any progress.
Under the new rules the process seems more organized and effective.

I did think about it, however who knows what was the reason of the delay (application was perfectly fine) so without knowing the reason by re-applying I might get the same thing later
According to their website, they will complete all pre-SCCA files by March 31, so I would recommend waiting for three months.
I really doubt that all applications who were submitted before 31 March last year will be done by April this year.
All timeline processing information from them is for general information only.

This time it's actually a deadline. But time will tell.
