Hi, I am a temporary worker whose work permit expires at the end of 2023. I currently have 6 months of skilled professional work experience in Canada (NOC Level B) so I need another 6 months to qualify for CEC.

It has been difficult to find a job so far in the current market to get my full one year of work experience so I am considering going back to my home country and getting my work experience there instead to qualify for FSW rather than CEC. I was wondering if my 6 months of experience in Canada would count towards FSW along with any experience I get if I go back home and work there.

You can include this work experience in a FSW application however you will most likely need to work outside of Canada for a full year before you can qualify for FSW (since your work experience needs to be continuous / without breaks and in a single NOC).
