Hello everyone,

My son was born in Vietnam and he is 2 months old, can I use his birth certificate as ID to apply for his proof of citizenship? Please advise!

I just did the application for my son born in Paraguay. The birth certificate doesn't count as ID, it's used to prove who the parents are. You need 2 pieces of ID apart from the birth certificate. 2 pieces of ID, one with a photo. You can submit with 1 and an explanation letter.

Thanks Canadajd for your advice
