Hi,

I am wondering about what happens once you're approved to come to Canada under family class sponsorship? What I am wondering about is, after you are approved? How long do you have until you can move to Canada? Do they give you like a travel visa that is valid for one month or a few weeks? How does that work?

Once you are approved via family class sponsorship, your passport will be stamped with a PR visa (provided you are not visa exempt) and you will be issued a COPR. The COPR will have an expiry date, which usually corresponds to the expiry date of your medical, which; coincidentally; is usually one year.
