Does a job offer speed up the process of getting PR?

Does a job offer speed up the PR application process?
I am curious about how fast they process the application when an employer only hires the foreign worker until the person gets PR. Will it be faster? (Like 2-3 months) Does anyone have the experience?

No - it won't be processed faster if you have a job offer.

The main benefit is that you get more points (assuming the job offer is accompanied by an approved LMIA).
