Does a contract position count towards PR requirments?

I am finishing up a 4-year university degree in Vancouver, BC. I am planning to apply for PGWP right away. I was wondering if a full-time contract position (~4-6 months) counts towards my PR requirements. I believe I need a minimum of 1-year experience to be able to apply for the Canadian Experience Class pathway, but does it matter if I accumulate the 12-month requirement through multiple full-time contract positions?

Doesn't matter, contract or permanent as long as the NOC qualifies
