I got an ITA and already have pretty much most of the documents needed. However, I have been reading through the other documentary requirements where it is indicated that my spouse/common-law partner should also provide.
My question is, even if my common-law partner is not coming with me to Canada, should he also still provide documents like an ECA, etc? Or, is that only for those who will be immigrating togetger at the same time?
My worry is, in the CIC website: Home ➡ Departments and agencies ➡ Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada ➡ Publications and manuals ➡ Permanent residence ➡ Economic classes
and under Proof of Studies (ECA), it says:
Individuals who must submit this documentation:
-The principal applicant
-Their spouse or common-law partner
Does this mean that the common-law should only provide an ECA if he will be coming with me to Canada?
