Document need to carry along with travel document

Hi, can anyone tell that while traveling to Canada with permanent resident travel document what other documents we need to carry . Do we need to carry our confirmation of permanent residency document(original) .Because we want to send it via mail to service Canada to get our social insurance no.

In my case, I show only a valid of PRTD on my passport.

Mine just photocopy of COPR. I wasn't sent the original one.
