Please share your thoughts on this topic, below are the facts
1. My office has applied for a work permit for me, an open work permit for my spouse and a dependant visa for my child. This was applied as a family visa. India to Ontario.
2. All of us have completed medicals.
3. Received biometric for myself and my spouse and we completed it.
4. Received passport request letter for myself and my child only but not for spouse.

Just the thread I was looking for!
It's quite clear from the previous posts that only 1 PPR message will be sent addressed to the Primary Applicant.
I am afraid I am still a bit unclear on whether the passports for PA and dependant need to be sent in separate envelopes or in a single envelope?
Planning to opt for the two-way courier by VFS in India.
Oh okay. In India, we normally have to book the vfs pick up and pay for every individual. Just that I dont have clarity from others who did it, that it should be one package but for two individuals (paid upfront) or it should be two separate. And not sure how picky they are when it comes to the name on the passport request document.
Hi,
In the VFS portal while booking a two way courier request, what do we need to choose in the dropdown "Number of applicants for passport Submission " ?
Is it supposed to be 1 since there is 1 Primary Applicant or should it be equal to the number of PA + dependent(s)?
we are in similar situation. The principal applicantgot the passport request. How did you send the documents for the dependents? Was it one package or two different package and did you get the passport stamp for dependants?

Initially yes, but upon contacting VFS for further clarification, they informed that the passports need to be sent in separate envelopes and the fees also need to be paid for 2 since there were 2 passports (even if one of them was that of a dependent).
So ended up sending the passports and other printouts required in 2 separate envelopes (with separate AWS numbers issued by Bluedart).
Must admit, I was a bit skeptical about this since the passport request letter specifiies that the passports for PA and dependants (if any) should be sent together, but VFS said otherwise.
However, tt worked out without any issues at the end, having received the stamped passports back.
