hi,
I am from nepal and I translated my birth certificate, marriage certificate and citizenship from law boards association which is granted permission of translation of documents by the notary act. Do i still need to get an affidavit stating the documents translated are authentic. Also, people usually get the translated documents stamped from the ministry of foreign affairs. Is that necessary. Also how do i certify the photocopies of original documents.
if you have translated docs from a govt. authorized organization or people then you may not need to do separate affidavit for that.
generally affidavit is require when your certificate or any legal documents has incorrect information like wrong birthdate or say name mismatch like that...in that case you need to an affidavit from court to say what is correct and true.
