Do university transfer programs count towards points for PR under CEC?

Hi,

Long time lurker here lol.

So I am currently on a PGWP, graduated from SFU in 2023 and working a great job (Teer 1)

Before completing studies at SFU I went through a pathway program through a private college affiliated with SFU, called FIC. While there, I did an 8 month foundation program also known as “university transfer program stage 1” followed by a 1 year program called “university transfer program stage 2”. The second stage is meant to get credits for the first year at SFU so you essentially start from your second year at university once you transfer.

So my question is, can I list the college separately to get additional points while applying for permanent residency? The college has its own DLI and everything but falls short of conferring a degree or diploma as I simply transferred into SFU. They do offer a letter of completion though.

Thanks in advance!

As long as you completed and got a degree from SFU, I think it should be fine! However, I'm not 100% sure!

Hi, I think I should have clarified I meant in addition to my SFU degree not ONLY the SFU degree if that makes sense. I want to claim additional points for the college not sfu

Don’t beleive so because the program is not a degree program.
