Do they take original documents in the interview?

I got a request for an interview next month. They asked me to bring all original documents to the interview,

Could you please help:

- Will they take my passport !?? I will have to travel soon after that.

- Is it normal that they ask for all documents in the interview?

You need to have the complete set of documents which you had scanned and uploaded to CIC website . They might ask any document. This information is based on previous interview experience read on this forum.
