I was just made aware that those that apply inland through Quebec receive a client ID for the sponsor on the letter for CSQ (I believe that is what is called) and they are able to see information on ECAS through that as well. Could my sponsor, even though he isn't a Quebec resident, still receive a client ID? And if so, would I be able to call CIC and obtain it?
I haven't been able to sign into ECAS with my own client ID number so I guess it would be nice to have another number to try if possible.
Yep, sponsors definitely receive client IDs once they've been processed as sponsors in the system. It's quite normal; my husband has one now, too. I'm not sure about calling to ask, although maybe some others on here have been able to do that. But trying the receipt number is a good suggestion and might work.
So would I just put his birthdate, etc. into ECAS?
I think I may have tried the receipt number and it didn't work before but I shall try again.
It seems for inland they are assessing the sponsor's part at the 8 month mark and ours will be at the 8 month mark in 10 days so maybe it will work then if not now. I may consider asking around that time too though. If doesn't hurt to find an additional number to try. And I know ECAS doesn't show much but it is upsetting to not be able to sign in after waiting almost 8 months. :'( Makes me wonder, will it even work when I get news from them. And I think that makes me more nervous that when it first works, it will says "transferred" which I would hate to see.
Do you think that my husband going from full-time to part-time work will play any aspect to being approved for sponsor? And the former manager isn't there working anymore, would that be a problem?

I don't think that'll be an issue. The information you submitted was accurate and the income of the sponsor is not typically an issue with spousal sponsorships.
Thank you doctorkb for the help.
Nice to not worry about something else. I am sure another crazy worry will creep into my mind again tomorrow though. At least today should be one less day.
