Do my wife need Spouse visa if she has Visitors Visa

Hi Friends,
I am getting married in Feb 2013. My Fiance has Canadian Visitors Visa, can you please tell me, do I have to apply for Spouse visa separately too? If Yes, can I do it within Canada (when she comes here in Feb)

Yes, you have to apply separately. You need to check the application processing time to determine whether do it within Canada or outside Canada would be good for you and your spouse.

She can visit Canada with a visitors visa regardless if she wants to get married or not but if she wants to live in Canada, she needs a spouse visa.

What is your status? If you are a PR or a citizen, you must sponsor her for PR. If you are an international student or a skilled worker with a work permit, you must apply for her TRV and open work permit to match your permit, that is after you get married.
