I need a quick help for my express entry profile, I have received an invitation to apply for the Canada express entry and I currently residing in USA. I came to USA in October 2014 but I have not stayed consecutively for more than 3 months as I use to travel a lot in between to different countries. So I have been in USA for 6 months but not consecutively. Do I need to provide a pcc ?

It has been clearly stated on CIC website, if you stay at a place for 3 months, then go on a vacation for 2 weeks and comeback to continue for the next 3 months...this shall be construed as continuous stay at that place for more than 6 months and shall warrant a PCC for the application of PR.

You should still apply to get one.
CIC can be rather unpredictable and we've seen many cases where they asked for it later in the process. They give 30-60 days though while FBI asks for 13-15 weeks and cant meet even that. Safe to apply right now.
Yeah that is what I thought, although I have received the ITA 9 days ago I think it's safer to apply for the police check now as it will take around 12-14 weeks. Just wondering if I should wait for the pcc to come or should I just send all the documents right now and put up a note for the pcc.

I have 3 months in US in 2007 and then 4 and half in 2008 with 9 months difference.
I shouldn't be needing one but I applied just in case. If it gets here until the deadline to apply I will upload but if not then I will wait until they ask ..hopefully won't.
Well it is always safer to get a pcc at one go, this is my second time applying for an express entry I got denied once 6 months back because I didt showed them the pcc from Australia although I was just living there for 5 months at that time. And I didt put a note with the application ( make sure you do that with the application).
This time I am not taking any chances so have applied for all the pcc from the countries I've stayed.
I applied for fbi pcc before i got the ITA..they got my package on 17th Dec but I highly doubt it I would get the pcc until 13th march when the dealine is.
Should I apply something ... explanation letter or the awb number copy with address on it?
Yes, a letter of explanation with the receipt ( you can ask the courier service guys if you don't have it) that you are still waiting for a pcc from FBI if you don't get it in time but I am pretty sure you will get that by the end of February.
They did not withdraw the monet from my credit card so I am a little bit pessimistic about this. I will however include the letter in case I dont get it in time. Thanks for the hint.
