i have been in canada for 2.5 years on sponsorship and work visas, which required a police check from the UK, and the rest of the time have been in canada. my first question is do i need another UK police check as all my time has been spent here in canada since the last police check?

my second question is,

i have seen somewhere that as ill be applying under the canadian experiance class i will be interviewed by an immigration officer which elliminates the lanuage test, but as there is so much information around i have not been able to find that again.

do i need the test or will i be interviewed by an immigration officer?

hope someone out there is able to point me in the right direction.

many thanks in advance.

Yes - you need to take IELTS and submit the results with your application.

No - you cannot be interviewed by an immigration officer to eliminate the language test requirement.

Yes - you need to obtain a new UK police check.

Only general is accepted.

ok, so you seen pretty clued up on this,

i have been here for 2.5 years working in a skilled job 2263 and will now apply for PR.
am i best to do it as canadian experiance class or federal skilled worker, both seem to say the same thing but i keep hearing one is better then the other, whats your thoughts?

thanks for your help.
