Do i need to take IELTS test to apply for a visa (with an expired MELAB)?

Hi
I'm an international student studying in Canada. English is not my first language. I have a study permit that is valid but my visa expired. Now I'm applying for a visa from outside Canada. In IMM5257E "languages" 1d, it asks: have you taken a test from a designated testing agency to assess your proficiency in English or French? I have taken MELAB test in Canada three years ago but the test results have expired. In this situation, do I check yes or no for that question and do I need to take IELTS test?

Hi,

You must answer 'No' as only valid results from CELPIP, IELTS and TEF are considered
