Dear Puma,
I think the more appropriate answer is, yes you need to report money or equivalent that you are carrying if it is 10k or more.
And if this is so, it just seems like common sense to bring some sort of proof that it is actually yours and how you may have acquired it.
A few months banks statements or investment reports may be enough. If they even ask for it. Better prepared than sorry I always say.
Over all, I think reporting it is just a sign of good Faith from you and not reporting it may just seem like you are hiding something.
Actually i got payed by monthly. The employer pay me, by sending money to my bank account. I took some of that money, for saving, by sending to another bank account or taking by cash home.I did not spend that money for anything. I wanted to save them for this purpose, to move to Canada.
You are right, Puma. There is no requirement of proving source of funds in both the link and form E677. Agree with what marsiangal said,
"Better prepared than sorry I always say".
i would definitely bring everything to the dollar, my family waited for more than 3 years to get PPR, what if i do not bring and they want to see it ...let us take the advise of the seniors, better be safe than sorry.
