I am living in Japan. My child was born in Japan and I have Japanese certificate. My registration certificate is also in Japanese. After submitting these documents the embassy asked me to submit translation from accredited translator. Should I notarize these files or send only the translation? Please inform me if you know reasonably pricing translator in Tokyo.

Hi, I got married in Japan and got a marriage certificate in Japanese issued by the ward office.
I asked a translation agency to translate it into English and paid around 5,500 yen for both the translation and the notarized certificate. This was just a letter describing the documents being translated, signed with oath by the translator and the CEO of the company (with all the proper "hanko" that are customary here).
I sent that translation as part of the supporting documents to CIC Tokyo last month. I hope it was OK... I haven't heard otherwise.
If you send me a private message, I can give you the contact details of the agency.
