In my local visa office instructions book, it is said that i must obtain police clearance of my home country and any country i lived for more than 6 months. I studied in usa for 4 years. right now, i am in home country. From here it is very hard getting information on fd-258. canada embassy is in a different country and very hard for me to send my fingerprint to fbi from here as there are no experts here. i talked to one immigration consultation firm from toronto. they said that it is not mandatory to submit fd-258. those who studied in usa and later moved to canada for study, did you have to submit fbi police clearance report?
