Do I need to fill in Generic application for Canada IMM008????

Hello,

I am confused if I need to complete the generic application form for Canada as it is not listed in the required forms in the guide page of: Guide 3900 - Sponsorship of a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent child living outside Canada. However one of the other forms refers to it. Any advice would be very helpful!

If you are the sponsor, you do not need to fill it. If you are the sponsored spouse(applicant), then you need to fill this form.

Thanks, where does it say that we need to fill that form in? It is not listed in the Guide 3900? Is there a whole other section that I am missing?

In terms of applying and getting the ball rolling, can I (the sponsor) submit my partners forms at the same time?

Yes - both yours(sponsor's forms) and applicant's forms have to go together in one package.
