I'm currently pregnant and expected to deliver my baby in another few weeks. Now my question is Do we need to apply PR even for a new born baby (we are residing in USA and baby will be born in USA itself) along with me and my husband??? Being my Baby as a American Citizen still we need to apply PR for him???
Myself and my husband are Indian Citizens & have applied for PR as a Provinical Nominee through Alberta. Already we have received Medical Request from Buffalo which is scheduled after my labor/ delivery. Once we get PR we will be moving to Canada permanently along with the baby.
Friends, appreciate if you guide me and share your experiences!!!
Congratulations!. May God bless you.
You can add your new born child with the medical report and relevant documents to include in the PR application.
Otherwise after getting the US passport for your baby, you can bring the baby to Canada as a visitor. Being a US citizen the baby don't need a TRV for Canada. While crossing the boarder you have to request the CBSA for the baby's extended visitor record for one year or more. Usually the permission of visit is for 6 months whereas the sponsorship application and later a PR application out land ( preferably to Buffalo,NY), may take approx one year.
