Do I need reference for 2 jobs to prove a 2 year work experience ?

Hi,
I have worked in a company for 6 months and another for 1.5 years, I can get the reference letter from the 1.5 years (my current company) but I had a bad relationship with my previous company so I doubt if they will even pick up my call.

So do I need 2 reference letters? Or 2 job offers are enough?
