Do I need to provide a police certificate for my time in Canada?
You do not need to provide a police certificate for your time in Canada. If required, a Canadian criminal record check will be conducted. You may be asked to provide fingerprints or additional information later, if we need it to complete the check.

Some of my friends said its a good idea to get the rcmp clearance and add it to the other police clearance certificate, he said application might take longer if they need the rcmp

What is your advise to get it or not?

Hi,

No harm by providing upfront RCMP clearance, this will definitely speed up your processing time. But RCMP required or not will be decided by VO.
