Do I need Police Certificate if I'm in Canada?

Hello, I am applying for common law sponsorship. I am from Thailand but came to Canada for study since I'm 17. It's been 7 years that I am in Canada and only time that I went home for over 6 month is during Covid in 2021 (I was there for 9 months). After 2021 I've never leave Canada until now 2025. I found that it said if you reside in Canada you don't need to get police certificate but in the application it has (require) so i guess you need to put something there in order to submit.

Please help if I should get Police certificate from Thailand or not or just wait after submit the application if they ask for one.

For any other country, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you resided there for 6 consecutive months or longer since the age of 18.

So yes you do need your PCC from Thailand. If you submit your application right now it would be returned due to the missing PCC, and you lose your place in the processing queue.
