I have a criminal record from 14 years ago. Despite this my ETA was approved as i was apparently deemed rehabilitatedam and I will be visiting Canada later in the year. What id like to know is, if I apply for a work permit, will I need to submit everything again, or would I simply submit my ETA number?

completely different process as ETA simply allows you to board a plane, does not guarantee entry to the country and for sure has no effect on getting PR or any type of work permit. So the answer is start from the beginning again.
