Hello,
Is SOP same as Cover letter?
I mean in SOP dont we have to write why we are going in the course we choose, whats the benifits of that particular course\degree in your country and why are we personally interested in it?
what is a cover letter?
Is it where I show my accomodation(I have been granted a room in the hostel), The paying of the deposit fees? (which I have no Idea how to show), My recommendation and supervisour from the university etc etc ?
How should I start the cover letter and SOP ? to whom do I address it ? Should I just begin with Dear Sir\Madam,
and is it possible to get some samples from you guys?
I know I'm asking alot of questions but I have to apply by tomorrow or day after so any help will be appreciated?
Thanks
Well people MAY refer to study plan as SOP/Cover letter although I am not sure about it. Visa office in Bangladesh refer to only study plan to be submitted so I am only familiar with that term.
Study plan can be started with "Dear Visa Officer," and in the following paragraphs, the following points should be highlighted:
1. Your qualification (don't over exaggerated)
2. Why you chose that program/university/place to study
3. Why not choose a similar program in own country
4. What value will the degree add to your future plan
5. Why will you be returning back to your country
Sometimes, people say that you don't have to add any study plan if your program is similar to the previous one(s) but then again there is no harm in attaching an extra page to express your desire and motive for pursing education in the desired destination.
I applied at the end of May, got my med done on 2nd week of june and now waiting for the final decision. What about you? Which university are you going?
