Do I have to notify CIC?

Hello everyone.

Just have a quick question.
I just recently changed my last name to my hubby's.
Husband is already in Canada,just landed last Friday.

Do I still have to notify CIC of the name change even though my hubby is already in Canada?

No, you don't need to update IRCC.

Yes, an update like this they need to be updates. It may even strengthen your application a bit. Jut send them an electronic copy of the affidavit, then they may instruct you if they need a physical copy or not. Good luck.
