Do I have enough time to obtain study permit?

Hi guys..
I just received an official admission offer from Laval university, that I am accepted to attend certificate in computer science with additional preparatory year..

The study will start at 9 january 2012..
Do I have enough time to apply for CAQ and then apply for study permit? I am from Egypt.

Hi,

I hope you might be aware of the fact that the medium of instruction in Laval University is 100% in French.

and you are from non-french speaking country.

and you have not appeared for any IELTS.

and you are aspiring for a certificate course.


Anyway, you need a minimum 30 working days for CAQ + a normal processing time for your visa in Egypt.

Yes Laval is french, and thats why they offered me preparatory year before the certificate, to study french as well as studying mathematics and some other courses that would prepare me for the certificate.

IELTS is not required at all because laval is french as you know..

So your answer means that I have enough time, right?

Yes I know its late, thats why I need to make sure if its worth it or not..

major part of central and north africa knows french.

i assumed egypt does too. as its part of africa.. anyways its still your third language .. and this course may help you backhome as well..

Hi,

1. Check CHC website of Egypt and see the minimum requirement of visa application. May be IELTS score is one such requirement!


2. For CAQ you need around 30 working days (excluding Saturday and Sunday). After CAQ you need few more weeks in Egypt for visa processing.
