Do I apply for an extension or a new study permit? Please help me ;-;

Hello! So basically my study permit is expiring soon due to my passport also expiring. I am wondering which option I'm eligible to apply for a study permit extension or a new study permit. Here is the situation: My passport takes a minimum of 6 months to renew, so I was hoping to use my other passport. Something to take into account is that I am also currently out of Canada. So I'm confused as to if I can just extend my study permit and submit the details of my other passport, or if I need to re-submit a new study using my other passport. So sorry for the confusing situation... I hope someone knows what to do!!

You cannot extend a study permit outside of Canada. You apply for a new study permit.
