Do FBI Police Certificates Expire?

I had my FBI Police certificate issued on Sept, 26th, 2005. Does this document expire after a certain period of time? I haven't yet sent off my application and am concerned it may no longer be valid. I couldn't find anything on the CIC website but did find on another website a 6 month expiration period for the certificate. Please confirm.

Thanks for the info - this document you referred to is for the Skilled Worker Class. I'm applying via Spousal Sponsorship Outside of Canada - I didn't see a 3 month provision indicated anywhere on the Spousal Sponsorhip application. Could this perhaps be an omission or does it also apply but just wasn't indicated? Thanks.
