Hi everyone,

I am a sponsor apply for inland sponsorship since November 7, 2017. Here are the timeline

Nov 7, 2017: Application received
June 12, 2017: Start processing application
September 1, 2017: Medical exam request
Septemer 12, 2017: Got medical exam done.

After that, no update from the IRCC website but me and my wife both received an email say that I have met requirements for eligibility as a Sponsor and my wife meets the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence. I guess this is Approve in Principal (AIP) for both of us.

I checked the application status on IRCC phone system and they said they are reviewing eligibility and additional documents, medical exam passed, processing background check and they Do Not need an interview. Does this mean that we don't have to do any interview and they will send us an email for PASSPORT REQUEST?

Anyone with experience about the sponsorship process please give me some advice. Many thanks in advance!!!

You already have the sponsor approval and AIP. You’re just waiting for the DECISION MADE. It may or may not come. Your landing letter is the one you really should be waiting for. Check your Ecas. The GCKey is not always updated.

Since you’re an inland application, the interview you should be anticipating now is the LANDING INTERVIEW. You’d have to bring your travel documents (passport),Visas/permits issued, PR pictures with you to your appointment.
