Disabled Sister-Sponsorship-H&C

Hi All

My sister (age 27) is physically disabled and is dependent on my mom. I am planning on sponsoring my mom in future. Can my sister come with her?

Is there any way to bring my sis here. She is suffering from polio, however she doesn't have regular medical needs.

If my sis is included in application, is there a risk for refusal to my mom?

Can i make an appeal under H&C? Is that being done after the application is refused or before making the application.

Im not an expert on that ( about your sister), but i see that you landed in 2016 and from what i know, yOu need at least 2 years before you can sponsor a family member. I.e to show your earnings in order to determine if you can afford sponsoring your family member or not.

Yes - it's quite possible the entire application could be refused under excessive burden if you include your sister as your mother's dependent. It's also possible CIC may remove your sister from the application and say she doesn't meet the dependent requirements.

You can only sponsor your sister under H&C if she is physically in Canada.
