Disability and sponsorship?

Asking for a friend, so basically his wife is receiving disability benefits in her home country and he wants to sponsor her. She is perm disabled and can not work. Can he sponsor her and would she be able to apply for similar Disability benefits in Canada after she becomes PR? Or is the sponsor responsible for her?

Yes - he can sponsor her.

If she takes similar benefits in Canada during the first three years after arriving her husband will have to pay this moeny back to the government. He is financially responsible for her for the first three years.
