Is it ok to apply for diploma programs after completing bachelors degree in mechanical engineering? I want to study in Canada but got some doubts regarding this.. as far for my knowledge I heard that it'll be a problem during the Visa as a diploma is less qualified degree than a Btech degree.

You can apply for diploma after your bachelors, but it should be post graduate diploma/ post graduate certificate.
If you would opt for post secondary program, then chances for your visa would be almost negligible.
