I wanted to scan my canadian passport photo(used for ME) as digital photo. Then I realized the scanned resolution should be at least 600 pixel per inch. I googled the method to calculate PPI and 600 pixels per inch would be a super huge and super high resolution image which will be impossible lesser than 240KBs.....
The specifications state: ideal size should be 240 kb
