I am going to apply for my grandmother's visitor visa to Canada but in her passport her name is spelled as DALAJIT and in my fathers passport her name is spelled as DALIJEET. Can someone please guide me on how to go about it? Do I have to get it corrected on her passport or can an afidavit alone work to resolve the issue?

Similar thing happened for my grandmother, I got an affidavit made saying "name1" and "name2" are same person.
Just be sure to use the name as on her passport elsewhere. I mean that the name on her own passport should be the correct one, if not you have to get the passport changed.

Her name is spelled as her name on her passport. My dad’s school certificate is in punjabi. I am really frustrated with whole situation. And if the name is not relevant, how can I prove her relationship to me?
