Didnt Use New portal for TRV from Pakistan...is it hopeless?

I just realized that I could have used the New portal to apply for a Tourist visa from Pakistan
I have already done my Biometrics and still waiting for updates.
The estimated time on the IRCC website said 29 days for the tourist visa
After searching in this website , it seems like applying using the New portal is faster??

I am worried about my visa....
Was the 29 day ETA for the new portal?
Is there really a difference?
I have read a few posts from people saying their GC key applications were stuck for months, is this going to be the case with me?
Is it hopeless? Or are there cases of people appling via the GC key and getting approved smoothly and quickly.

IRCC gave the instructions to reapply through new portal if application is before sept, 2021.
You are waiting for what? Go ahead and apply again.

When I applied I have mentioned that your travel purpose is spending summer holidays in Canada so now the situation is different so now if i apply again it will be affected on my application or not thats why I has not applied. Should I wait for summer or apply again and also mention that we will travel in summer. Please share your opinion about that. And how much time it will take more.

You can't apply for tourist visa on new portal if you don't have sponsor in Canada.

lots of people apply without a sponsor on the new portal and get approved.
