Didn't got any points for foreign work experience

Hi Guys I have been following the forum since few months now and it has been really helpful so thanks everyone.

I am facing issue with my foreign experience. I have 1 year as part time and 6 months or so as full time experience. I created two separate entries in work history section.

1st entry : Part time experience 20hr/week. June 2010 - June 2011
2nd entry : full time experience 40hr/week. June 2011 - Dec 2011

Above both are with same employer and under same job title. I updated my profile, transmitted all changes and it is now saying submitted but no changes in my points.

Am I doing something wrong here.?

You need to wait for atleast 24 hours.

You need one year of full-time continuous work experience. It appears you do not have that.

Yes, that's perfectly fine as long as you complete the full year of work experience. I'm too lazy to do the math so i'll leave that to you.

but I am confused in above thread its saying to keep two separate entry. Which I did and got 0 points. If I combine into one what dates should I put as start and end date.? Besides if I put different dates then my reference letter what are the chances of that being considered as misrepresentation.?

You cannot have a single entry because even though you worked for the same employer first you were part-time and then full-time.

The system only allows one entry for work hours per week.

Again, as long as you have the full year of work experience and the 1560 work hours then you should be getting those points.

I've kind of added it up to 1800 hours allowing 50 weeks at 20hours and 20 weeks at 40 hours.

So in theory you should be getting the points. Are the NOC codes the same? It might be worth looking up the rules on fsw and part/full time hours.

Hey Sorry fellas,

Just got an email that profile update and after checking the profile I did got the points. Seems like I am gonna die once for nothing just because I worry too much.

It still say FSW not met, but I guess that's not an issue since I am applying under CEC anyways. Got points under Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience
