I got a Passport request for visa and I am residing very close to Detroit. I like to visit in person to get the visa. I assume, they will return the passports same day?
Has anyone recently tried? Will they entertain personal visits?
This is what mentioned in the letter:
If you do not have a mailing address in Canada or the United States, you must deliver your passport(s) in person, Tuesday and Thursday,
8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
I went to Detroit office ( took St. Antony's street that has a parking lot for USD 3.00 per hour and next door is 600 Renaissance Center) and got my Canadian PR. I expected a visa sticker or stamp on my passport. But they give me a document.
They returned my original transcripts (I submitted in 2010). They have not returned original experience letters and the Police clearance certificates.
