did any one have applied for Indian passport renewal recently and if so how much time it actually took to get back. how many years they are issuing for???
i am talking about the passport issued in India and first time renewal in canada

I got mine just yesterday. But I'm in the US and the process is outsourced to BLS. Not sure about the process in Canada. Mine took exactly 10 days from the day the application left me to the day I got the new passport. ETA given online was 3-4 weeks so I was pleasently surprised.

thanks for the update...same is the process in Canada too... BLS is taking care of this stuff and the processing timelines are same as you mentioned. got to see how much time it would take...
