Hello All,

I am starting this thread for applications at the Detroit Office. Some files where transfered to Detriot Office for further processing. Lets update our timelines to keep ourselves informed.

My file was transferred to Detriot from Buffalo Office. Here is my timeline:

Local Canadian Visa Office: Detroit, USA

Initial Assessment Received: 22 Feb 2009

Documents Requested: 22 Feb 2009

Documents Sent: 17 Apr 2009

AOR Received Date: 25 Apr 2009

Medicals Requested: 24 Jan 2010

Medicals Done: 12 Feb 2010

Medicals Sent: 17 Feb 2010

Application Status: pending

Sent RPRF, additional document and FBI certificate sent: 02 Apr 2010

Does anyone know how long it takes Detriot office to reach a decision after medical and payment of RPRF?

My file was transferred to Detroit on April 7th. Here's my info:

Application: FSW3
App to CIO, NS: May 2009
App + Docs to Buffalo, NY: October 2009
File transferred to Detroit, MI: April 2010

The email from Buffalo said not to contact Detroit for the next 90 days. So, I'm expecting to be contacted by Detroit by July 2010.

My file was transferred from Buffalo to Detroit. My timelines are listed - I am in PPR with my PP sent and my E-CAS status reading "Decision Made" as of April 12, 2010.

Here's hoping...

It seems not too many files have been transferred from Buffalo to Detroit.

However, if the time line from New York or Seattle offices are something to go by, I'd say one can expect these satellite offices to take upwards of one month to request medical exam.

Personally, I'm going by the 90 day time line in the email and not expecting any communication from them within the next couple of months.

It's Tuesday. Any updates?

How many weeks have passed since the transfer?

Please see my time line for the application transferred from Buffalo to Detroit. I received a request for medicals on April 14 2010 and am scheduled for the medicals on the 29th.

A note: Please do not consider my timeline as typical since I had to update my application twice, once to add my spouse (Dec) and once for adding my new born child (Feb).

Hi Googleman,
I got e mail on April 20, 2010 regarding transfer of my case to Detroit.
I have heard that in some cases they (detroit) have asked for medicals as early as one week after case transfer.
I am anxious about my case.....

Some did receive medicals a week after transfer, but I guess things have cooled down a little bit--I haven't heard any medical requests from Detroit today.

My e-case changed to in process today on the 10th May.

It sayr " your application for permanent resident was reviewed and we started the processing on 7th May 2010'

Any comments what this could mean should I expect medicals soon?

Congrats CanadaCanada.

Sounds like Detroit is moving the April transfers. I'm guessing they will send you the medical forms in the next four weeks or so.

My file was transferred to Detroit on April 7, 2010. I haven't heard anything from them yet. I know your file was transferred to Detroit in April 2010 as well. Do you mind sharing the date with us pls?

It was transfered in the last week of the April 10.

All Detroit transfered applicants please keep us update so that we could have a clue whats going on in

Detroit with our files...

Thanks
